Zamil Ahamed Limon And Nahida Sultana Bristy Obituary: Community Mourns Passing

It is with profound sorrow that we offer our deepest condolences on the tragic and untimely passing of Zamil Ahamed Limon and Nahida Sultana Bristy, two exceptional graduate students of the University of South Florida (USF). Their sudden loss has sent shockwaves through the university community, leaving classmates, faculty, and friends heartbroken and struggling to come to terms with this devastating tragedy.

Zamil and Nahida were both described as bright, talented, and deeply committed scholars who embodied dedication, ambition, and kindness. They pursued their academic goals with passion and represented the very best of the USF community. Their presence brought warmth and inspiration to those around them, and their contributions—both academic and personal—will be remembered with great respect and admiration.

The circumstances surrounding their passing are heartbreaking and have left an irreplaceable void in the lives of their loved ones. Their families in Bangladesh now face the unimaginable grief of losing two cherished children while also bearing the difficult responsibility of bringing them home, arranging funeral proceedings, and managing related expenses across great distance. Innalillahe wa innailaihe Rajeun.

At the time of their passing, Zamil and Nahida had been looking forward to visiting their families in the summer and returning to USF in the fall to continue their academic journey. Those plans, once filled with hope and anticipation, have now been tragically cut short.

In response to this loss, a fundraising effort has been established to assist both families with funeral costs, transportation of remains and belongings, and other necessary arrangements. The support raised will be shared equally between the two families. Every contribution, regardless of size, is deeply meaningful and appreciated. For those who are able, sharing the fundraiser is also a valuable act of support during this difficult time.

We also acknowledge the efforts of the USF Bangladeshi Student Association and others who have come together to support the families through additional fundraising initiatives.

Zamil Ahamed Limon and Nahida Sultana Bristy will be remembered not only for their academic promise but also for the lives they touched with kindness and integrity. May their souls rest in eternal peace, and may their families find strength, comfort, and healing in the days ahead.
